Trade Registration
California Wines and U.S. Consul General Baxter Hunt invite you to take an exploratory trip to California Wine Country and discover the many vintners and wineries of the Golden State. Soak up the sunshine during this educational, immersive walk-around tasting event that showcases more than 400 wines from California. During the three hour experience, sample wines from many regions and appellations and meet with winery representatives to learn more about what makes their wines so special. There’s never been a better time to Taste California!
Please note this is by invite only, registration is for verified members of the trade only.
We have modified the trade tasting to allow for a more intimate one-on-one experience with our participating wineries.
How the Trade Sessions Work:
The trade event opens at 2:00pm. We recommend looking at the producers and wines available in the tasting ahead of the event, and bookmarking wines that you would be interested in tasting to plan your tour. During the tasting, you can take notes on wines and give them ratings on a 5-point star system. Please note that your notes and ratings are completely confidential. Your tasting notes and personal catalog will be available for download following the event.

Creating your Personalized Catalogue
Alphabetical Order
Wineries are organized alphabetically throughout the space, but grouped into different areas in the tasting room according to region, denoted by counter colour. Upon arrival, guests will check in at registration and then be free to meet with wineries and taste their wines at their leisure. Every winery has two showstopper wines for you to experience that will only be available during the trade tasting.
Plan Your Tour
Once you are registered you can use our site to plan your tasting by bookmarking a wine that you want to taste at the event. The wines will be automatically grouped showing your selections grouped by producer and region. You will be able to create your own personal tasting catalog. Every winery will have a new to market discovery for you to explore.
QR codes
There will be QR codes at each winery table that take you to the wines they have on offer for that session and winery contact information. Take notes on the wines you try at each counter by selecting the bookmark or star icons by the wine. Notes will be available for export.
Take notes
Start taking notes by selecting the 5-point star icons underneath each wine. You can bookmark the wines you'd like to try at the event ahead of time and sort based off of your bookmarks when you arrive for easy access.
Your notes can be downloaded after the event and exported to Excel or a PDF for future reference.
