Ripe melon and apple, with the hallmark mineral of Drum Canyon. Says Jeb Dunnuck, "[The 2021] is a nicely textured, rounded, lengthy Chardonnay that represents a great value. It comes all from the estate vineyard and should have an easy 4-5 years of prime drinking." Our technique with this wine was consistent with the previous vintage and consistent with maximizing Drum Canyon: whole-cluster pressing, and an anaerobic ML which helps the wine achieve texture without butter.
